What the extension will read
The extension is not released yet. When it is, then only on Booking.com search results and property pages, it will read three things from each listing: its name, its area as shown on the page, and its link. It needs these to recognise the listing the next time you see it.
It will not read prices, your account, your messages, booking or payment pages, or any other website.
What it will store, and where
When you hide or save a listing, the extension will keep that listing’s name, area and link, your note if you add one, and the date. Chrome stores this on your computer. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and the first version will make no network calls.
Removing the extension from Chrome deletes it all.
What we never do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, tracking or ads in the extension.
- No selling or sharing of data. We don’t receive any to share.
- No affiliate links or codes added to any page.
The waitlist
If you join the beta waitlist, we collect:
- your email address;
- the time you agreed to join.
To check that you are a person and to limit abuse, our host Cloudflare also sees your IP address and browser details when you submit the form, and its Turnstile check receives your IP address. We use your email address only to reply to say we have received it and, later, to send you news about the beta. Our lawful basis is your consent.
- Who holds it: your sign-up is received by a small program we run on Cloudflare, which keeps your email address and the time you joined on a list in Cloudflare storage (so we can avoid adding you twice) and emails it to our inbox at Google (Gmail), passing through Cloudflare Email Routing. Cloudflare and Google act as our processors and are based in the United States, so your details are transferred outside the UK.
- How long: until you ask to be removed, then we delete your details from the list and our inbox within 30 days.
- Removal, access or deletion: reply to any email from us, or email[email protected], and we will act on your request.
You can also write to [email protected] with any other question.
This website
This website sets no cookies and loads no fonts or trackers from other sites. The one outside script is Cloudflare Turnstile, on the sign-up form, which checks that a visitor is a person. It loads only when you click into the email field, and it may store a small amount of data on your device to do this. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs under its own terms.
Your choices
Once the extension is released you will be able to export your list as a file at any time from the extension’s dashboard, and delete everything with “Delete all data”. To have us delete an email you sent, or to ask what we hold about you, write to [email protected]. We reply within one month.
Who we are
Stay Away Fit is run by Antoine Riche, registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office under ZC173517. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
